Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

The Promised Comforter (“we”, “this site”) is an educational website about Spiritism. This policy explains, in plain language, what information is involved when you visit us — and what is not.

What we collect

  • Reading the site: you can read everything here without an account and without giving us your name or email.
  • Server logs: like virtually every website, our server records technical access data (IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps) for security and operation. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not sold or shared for advertising.
  • Email: if you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use them only to reply to you.
  • Comments: if comments are enabled on articles and you choose to comment, the name and email you provide are stored with your comment, as is standard in WordPress. Comment emails are never published or sold.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed for it to function (for example, to remember a dismissed notice). If audience measurement tools are enabled in the future, they will be configured to respect your privacy, and this policy will be updated before they are used.

What we never do

  • We never sell personal information.
  • We never ask for donations, payments or financial data through this site.
  • We never promise spiritual services in exchange for money — anyone doing so in our name is committing fraud.

External links

Our pages link to third-party websites (Spiritist federations, centers, publishers and others). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.

Your rights and contact

If you have sent us information and would like it corrected or deleted, or if you have any question about this policy, write to contact@promisedcomforter.com and we will take care of it.
