Speakers From Nine States, One Saturday in Florida: The U.S. Spiritist Symposium Turns 20

October 29, 2026 · The Promised Comforter

Every year, Spiritists from across the United States gather for a full day of talks and study at the U.S. Spiritist Symposium. In 2026 the symposium reaches its 20th edition — and the United States Spiritist Federation (USSF) has announced the date: Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Florida.

The symposium is the national meeting of the American Spiritist movement: an annual event presented by the USSF to share Spiritism and its practical side — what it teaches about life, death and our purpose here — with the whole family.

Who is speaking?

The official speakers page already reads like a map of Spiritism in America. Among the names announced are Beatriz Lopes (Connecticut); Dan Assisi and Bernadete Leal (California); Eduardo Haddad and Leonardo Haddad (Texas); Gabriel Macedo, Julia Magri, Suzana Simoes and Yuri Castro (Florida); João Korngold (New York); Leonardo Vieira and Lia Gouveia (Maryland); Nahur Fonseca (Massachusetts); Peter Hays (New Jersey); and Marcia Trajano (Tennessee) — workers and speakers from nine states, in one room.

What we know — and what is still to come

Confirmed so far, from the official announcements: the date (November 7, 2026), the state (Florida) and the organizer (the USSF). The city, venue and full program have not been published yet on the official site — when they are, we will update our Events page, where this gathering already appears in the “Coming up” list.

Until then, there is plenty happening this week: study groups and public lectures in Florida, New York and Texas, and online talks you can join from anywhere — see this week’s verified Spiritist events, or find a center near you on our Centers page.
